Some Presumptions on Apple’s iCloud

Apple’s out of their comfort zone as they do what they have never done before – releasing a completely fresh unreleased product which is the Apple iCloud. However, Apple pre-announced the release through their agenda list for the Worldwide Developers Conference which will be held in San Francisco on June 6, 2011.

But what exactly is iCloud? What Apple said was that it is their “upcoming cloud services offering” according to TechCrunch. However, below are some presumptions about Apple’s iCloud -
Datacenter to House iCloud
Apple Inc has mentioned earlier about the possibility of incorporating a mega datacenter. They allegedly invested a crunchy $1 billion into it and it is believed to house iCloud.
iTunes mirroring
Apple was purported to get some major music labels signing up with them for iCloud which allows Apple stream music directly from their server to the user’s computers, iPods, iPads and iPhones. The songs will be mirrored in the application iCloud which means you don’t need to upload anything.
If iCloud will be launched in the next WWDC, it is highly unlikely that they are ready to do so.
iMovies
Apple also hopes that movie and television studios will sign up with the iCloud offering according to recent reports.
iDrive
If rumors were true, iCloud might replace the MobileMe application. MobileMe is a syncing service as well as a storage space in the cloud.
There are no confirmations yet exactly what iCloud is all about but no matter what it is Apple will definitely try to nail its functionality in the next-gen iPhone.
