We have noticed some people are still complaining E3 FLASHER LIMITED high price of $109.90, I think they ignore the following facts.

Q1: What’s the E3 flasher Limited?


The E3 Flasher Limited is an universal programmer for all NAND/NOR flash device. It support PS3 slim console better because E3 flasher limited has 16M NOR flash memory , and with soft board to connect SLIM console easier, and also this limited version include 8 accessory like ESATA STATION. Sure it also support NAND flash console&device .

Q2: How about installation for fat and slim ps3 console?

The limited version need solder 34 wires on NAND FLASH FAT CONSOLE, it need use E3 LINKER.

The limited version need solder 50 wires on NOR FLASH FAT CONSOLE,it need use E3 LINKER.

The limited version need solder some points on NOR FLASH SLIM CONSOLE, no need any wire.

Q3: How many Harddisk we need? What function with E3 Esata Station?

As fact, you no need any extra HD because you can take out ps3 internal HD and put into E3 esata station. It will play like internal HD. Every time if you change FW, you will be required fomat and upgrade. So if you want get more function like dual boot and fast switch FW function, you need prepare another HD for another FW, just like you will get 3.7HD for 3.7FW, 3.55HD for 3.55FW, all will be regards as internet HD. With E3 esata station, the internal HD size can be MAX to 2.5T, compatiable 2.5&3.5′ HD with MAX to 3G speed , and also works 4GB+ game well ,this means no need USB HD anymore.

Q4: If we will get problem with PSN if switch to 3.7?

Some guy say there has unique ID inside original PS3 NOR FLASH, so it will get problem if you choose another NOR FLASH memory. We don’t think so because you can keep original PS3 NOR FLASH with 3.7OFW, so even you connect to PSN, it will find you are original, change nothing! Sure you can keep 3.55CFW on E3 NOR FLASH.

Q5: Do we need any software and PC?

No, you no need install any software, no need any PC to operation. You get all function on E3 FLASHER itsself. just press key on E3 FLASHER COVER BOARD and wait few min or few second..

Q6: If PS3 upgrade to new firmware, does E3 FLASHER works again?

We can’t promise but will do best to work and provide to all free, you shoud trust E3DIY team.

Q7: Which version PS3 can downgrade and dual boot?

We find all FAT console works , most slim console works even include some new slim console which come with 3.56+ original FW. We find 3000X version console can programme correctly but can’t downgrade and dual boot, we will do best to work it out and provide to all free.

There should also be pictures of the E3 LINKER the latest addition from them to make usage of this on the FAT PS3 Consoles, but I having problems uploading the picture, after finally got the manual to upload here, as sadly the E3DIY team is still having website overload issues. I will updated this Crunching news post shortly with it.

A few weeks ago, you may have noticed that Street Fighter IV’s venerable producer Yoshinori Ono said he was looking forward to a new game called “Skullgirls.” A lot of you probably hadn’t even heard of the game before, so I’m here to remedy that.

Skullgirls is more than just a PSN fighting game, it’s the realization of two peoples’ long-held dreams… seriously! Creative director Alex “o_8” Ahad has been working on the characters and story since he was in high school, and project lead Mike “Mike Z” Zaimont had been working on a fighting game engine in his free time since 2008. When mutual friends introduced them to each other, Skullgirls was born. Joining the recently founded Reverge Labs team in 2010, they signed with publisher Autumn games, and at E3 Konami announced that it will be distributing Skullgirls.

Skullgirls takes place in the Canopy Kingdom, a country reminiscent of a 1940’s post-war America tinged with magic and intrigue. Hanging over the kingdom is the legend of the Skull Heart: this ancient artifact is said to be able to grant a wish to a young woman, but if her heart isn’t pure her wish will be twisted and she’ll be transformed into a living nightmare known as the “Skullgirl.” As the game begins, a new Skullgirl, Marie, has emerged and is terrorizing the kingdom, and so once again people are lining up to save the country from this menace and claim the Skull Heart for themselves.

Skullgirls’ initial eight characters are all females that range from the elegant to the macabre, and each has a distinct play style. In the future we’ll expand the roster with DLC characters, including (gasp!) men.

• Peacock is a psychotic biomechanical monstrosity created to destroy the Skullgirl, whose weaponry manifests as murderous cartoon characters and deadly gags. With lots of ranged attacks and a teleport, she’s best when attacking from a distance.
• Parasoul is the princess of the Canopy Kingdom and leader of its elite military force, the Black Egrets. With exceptional attack range, projectiles and strategic command of her soldiers, she’s a formidable opponent.

Each of the characters is 100% hand-animated by our amazing art staff, and features an average of high-resolution 1300 frames per authentic-purse.com character, the most of any fighting game to date. Furthermore, our engine allows us to get really creative with their coloring, as well as light them in real-time.

Now just because we’ve got an all-girl cast (so far!) doesn’t mean we’ve neglected the gameplay: Mike’s primary goal is to make a truly balanced and competitive fighter by addressing a number of the lingering problems with the genre… but that will have to wait for another blog post.

Amy: The Faces of Horror – New PlayStation 3 Footage

If you’ve been following the development of Amy, you probably know that we’re trying to make a unique survival-horror game for PSN. As explained in my previous post, we’re working hard to bring a different gameplay based on a deep interaction between Lana, a young woman who is the lead character, and Amy, an eight year-old child,genuine-bags.com set in a horrific environment. First, a quick primer on the world of Amy. It’s 2035, and global warming has intensified beyond mankind’s control. Floods, hurricanes, and other natural disasters are claiming lives with increasing regularity. And in Silver City, the site of a recent comet impact, a mysterious viral outbreak has begun transforming a large percentage of the populace into horrific monstrosities. As you can see in the videos above, our goal is to create characters that convey emotions and that show their feelings physically, not just through dialogue or scenarios. Moreso than any other genre, horror games are based on what characters want – not just what they are doing.

For secondary characters, it might be ok to take a more traditional approach, to make them what you’d expect. But for the primary characters, facial features, expressions and the way they move are things we spent a lot of time on. Above all else, one of the most important aspects lies in their eyes. As you can see from the video, Father John’s eyes are not only highly detailed, but appear real-bags.com very human – at least, as close as we could get! And this is not just a technical and artistic challenge; the subtlety of human expression has a real impact in the game, especially for Amy and Lana.

As you probably already know, Amy is impaired – she doesn’t speak. Hence, in order for Amy to communicate with the player, her body language and facial expressions are of critical importance. If Amy sees a gruesome creature behind you, she won’t have to yell: you will know, just by looking at her face and body language, that she’s terrified.

3.70 - Downgrade v2

Playstation 3 Downgrade v3.70 to v3.55

This quick tutorial I will cover how to Downgrade v3.70 to v3.55 (NOR flash type only) using dospiedra’s latest downgrade method.

You will need the following How to Downgrade v3.70 to v3.55:

• PS3 Fat or Slim (NOR flash type only)
• A USB Thumbdrive.
• A method to enter your PS3 into Factory Service Mode
• Firmware 3.70 OFW (.PUP MD5: 7EE6B91BBD07DDE1E65A0681DE66745B)
• ProgSkeet Universal Programmer
• Latest Version of the ProgSkeet Software
• Downgrade V2 by dospiedra (.RAR MD5: F768F4B0E8BA1D300495C5F6A1CFB1E4)
• HEX Editor – I will be using HxD (.ZIP MD5: 18DF5E00110513F15882709D06947F95)
• 3.55 CFW No Check by dospiedra (.PUP MD5: 89FEDBF48A4FFEB74F68D30E3E684608)
• 1st stage Lv2diag.self by jaicrab (.ZIP MD5: 3499B86C34D2E11D0AF74C7B125B6758)
• 2nd stage Lv2diag.self by jaicrab (.RAR MD5: 5A70B6019FD801554305B7A802EB9285)

–Tutorial Start for Downgrade v3.70 to v3.55
Step 1: Dump the NOR of your PS3 using the ProgSkeet Device and Software. Make sure you dump your NOR a number of times and verify that both the read is valid and that all the dumps are exactly the same.

• Make sure you have ByteSwap checked, so we can eliminate the usage of FlowRebuilder.
• Your dump should be exacltly 16,777,216 bytes.
• Save the dump as NOR_3.70_OFW.bin for this guide.

Dump the NOR of your PS3 using the ProgSkeet Device and Software

• Spansion NOR: 128KB sector, 128 sectors
• Samsung NOR: 4KB sector, 4096 sectors
• Macronix NOR: 128KB sector, 128 sectors

Step 2: Open NOR_3.70_OFW.bin with HxD. Make sure OFFSET 200 reads “IFI” and nothing else (otherwise you might need to go back and ByteSwap your dump)

Step 3: Open the 6 patches found inside the Downgrade v3.70 to v3.55 archive with HxD.

lv-peak.com Step 4: Now we want to patch our NOR_3.70_OFW.bin with the 6 patches provided.

• patch1: OFFSET 0C0010 LENGTH 6FFFE0
• patch2: OFFSET 7C0010 LENGTH 6FFFE0
• patch3: OFFSET 80000 LENGTH 20000
• patch4: OFFSET A0000 LENGTH 20000
• patch5: OFFSET 40000 LENGTH 20000
• patch6: OFFSET 60000 LENGTH 20000

For each patch perform the following (using patch 1 as an example):

• Open patch1 and select all (ctrl+a) and copy (ctrl+c).
• Open NOR_3.70_OFW.bin and goto (ctrl+g) OFFSET 0C0010

Now we want to patch our NOR_3.70_OFW.bin with the 6 patches provided

• Paste write with ctrl-b (not Paste Insert! – the file size should never change) the changes you make should be coloured red.

Keep repeating (using the different offsets for each patch) until all 6 patches have been applied.
Step 5: Save patched NOR_3.70_OFW.bin as NOR_downgrade.bin

Step 6: Flash NOR_downgrade.bin to the PS3 using the ProgSkeet Device and Software.

Step 7: Turn on the PS3 but do not press anything. Wait 1 minute or so, and remove power from the PS3 – we need to put it into factory service mode.

Step 8: Format a FAT32 thumb-drive and place the following files on it.

• usb:\\Lv2diag.self (Get this file from the Lv2Diag-patch-par-Jaicrab.zip archive – ‘\Lv2Diag-patch-par-Jaicrab\STEP1\Lv2diag.self’)
• usb:\\PS3UPDAT.PUP (Rename 355checkoff.PUP to PS3UPDAT.PUP)

Step 9: Plug the thumb-drive with the files from step 8 into the right-most USB port on the PS3.

Step 10: Boot the PS3 into Factory Service Mode (see other guides on how to achieve this)

Step 11: Wait for the PS3 to power off automatically (this should take somewhere between 10-20 minutes)

Step 12: Remove the USB from the right-most USB port on the PS3.

Step 13: Power on the PS3 – you should now see the XMB.

Step 14: Shutdown the PS3 again.

Step 15: Replace the first stage Lv2diag.self with the second stage Lv2diag.self on the thumb-drive and re-plug the thumb-drive into the right-most USB port on the PS3.

• usb:\\Lv2diag.self (Get this file from the Lv2diag_355.rar archive – ‘\\Lv2diag_355\Archivo 2\Lv2diag.self’)
• usb:\\PS3UPDAT.PUP (Keep from before)

Step 16: Power on the PS3 – Wait for the PS3 to power off automatically (this should take somewhere between 10-20 seconds)

Step 17: Remove the USB from the right-most USB port on the PS3.

Step 18: Boot the PS3 and enjoy your 3.55 CFW No Check by dospiedra (equivalent to 3.55 CFW by kweaw)
