Minor but Revolutionary Update for iPhone 5

Apple revealed that they will be doing some minor but revolutionary software update for their next generation iPhone 5. They said they are planning to straighten some major upgrades to the software platform which according to leading analysts will make these changes the defining point of iPhone 5 – not the hardware.

The tech giant CEO Steve Jobs will return to the center stage at the Word Wide Developer Conference on June 6 to showcase the Mac OS 10.7 Lion for computers and the iOS 5 for the iPhone said the consumer electronics giant.

Ever since the iPhone 4 was released in the general public, the software is the first major update to the iOS platform which is coupled with the release of iCloud which is also one of the major things that Apple expected to straighten out. As a result, consumers will enjoy a drastically upgraded (though not necessarily improved) product according to some analysts.

Alex Gauna, a JMP Analyst, spoke about the software advancements of iOS 5 and iCloud. He referred to the software as a “much more revolutionary” than the iPhone 5 itself while it sets low expectations on new hardware for the WWDC.
Gauna wrote:
“We will be looking to measure whether the advances are enhancements to consumer-centric offerings such as iTunes and MobileMe, or virtualization breakthroughs that pave the way for more significant enterprise, social networking, and/or multimedia inroads.”
Setting low expectations for new hardware at the WWDC while giving the iOS 5 and iCloud their much deserved attention is quite a smart move for Apple.
It has been said that the new iPhone platform is the iCloud which will give users to access data and services that are directly streamed from the Apple servers – which is quite neat basing on the rumors.

Apple started on a new endeavor of what you could call the largest data center in the whole world located at Maiden, North Carolina just recently. It is said to be 500,000 sq. ft. center which will allow Apple Inc to have massive computing which results to several things not even possible before.

However, the half a million square feet center will not only give apple the edge but the users as well. It allows users to exploit and take advantage of streaming both music and video and get the digital locker service – very neat indeed for a “minor” roll out of the major software for the next-gen iPhone.
