iOS 5 runs the iPhone 5 Engine

It won’t be till next week that the real iPhone 5 specs will arrive but the engine that will run this device seems to appear on the horizon. The iOS 5 will be the operating system that will make the next-generation iPhone run including all future devices with this kind of platform coming next year. It is becoming clear to all of us as the release of the specs is fast approaching in next week’s annual WWDC in San Francisco.

However, we should not expect for an immediate release for the iPhone 5 since the event is focused mainly on the development of the devices. The preview is therefore aimed at the development of the iOS 5 so that by the time of its release the developers have already made necessary revisions to their current platform and take advantage of the new software features.
Apple revealed that there will be no June release of the iPhone 5 as they pushed the white iPhone 4 out in the market late April but the iOS spoiler will give us an idea of what to expect in the next-generation iPhone. It will give us a bird’s eye view of what the iOS 5 can deliver and here is a list of some –
Multitasking Capacity
With the iOS 5, users can guarantee to enjoy “genuine multitasking” capacity because it allows 3rd party applications to run fully in the background without disrupting any of your primary tasks unlike the iOS 4 which basically gives you the ability to switch apps faster.
Wireless Printing
iPhone 5 users will now enjoy printing wirelessly to any printer that is hooked on any computer instead of the limited implementation that the iOS 4 provides.
Home Trigger
It could be expected that the iOS 5 will work for no-home button devices which will just make use of the gesture-based home trigger although this remains just a possibility.
Compatibility
It has been said that the iOS 5 will have backwards compatibility which will make devices of different versions enjoy the full features of iOS 5. This is great for people who are currently using the iPhone 4 and are not planning to buy iPhone 5. However, owners of iPhone 3Gs may be skeptical about installing the iOS 5 but then again these users may as well buy the iPhone 5 when it comes out.
