The Xecuter X360USB Pro is the very latest offering in the Xecuter range of flashing tools for the Xbox 360 and it’s a big one, the X360USB Pro is a SATA to USB converter that means you will no longer have to use a VIA SATA card along with your CK3 product to flash your 360 drives. This is a leap forward in many ways, for those knowledgeable with flashing 360 drives will know that using the traditional setup of a CK3 and VIA SATA card can come with its fair share of trouble, moving over to a SATA to USB solution is going to remove most of the problems associated with the traditional flashing process. The other big feature of the Xecuter X360USB Pro is the fact it will support reading and writing to the latest Lite-On & Hitachi Slim drives. The X360USB Pro is also going to be fully flash updateable which means the team can tune and perfect it’s performance and also be able to add new functions and features at a later date, this should make customers feel confident that the device will have after sales support and updates which is always nice to know before buying a product.
The Xecuter X360USB Pro will still require you to use a device such as the CK3 Pro to give power to the drive, you could also use something like the CK3 Lite which we are going to make sure we have in stock around the end of the month for a cheaper alternative for powering the drive, you don’t really need anything super advanced and just something simple to power the drive. Also another option for people wanting to use Laptops to flash would be to buy a DC to Molex power pack, this means you could use this to power your CK3 or whatever device you are using to power the drive along with the Xecuter X360USB Pro for a transportable flashing solution. Normally you would have had to have a PC rig setup and use a Molex power connector from the PC’s power supply to power the CK3 Pro or Lite, if you buy a DC to Molex power adapter you will not require a PC Rig and could happily use a Laptop setup in conjunction with your Xecuter X360USB Pro & CK3 Pro or Lite.
At this stage the Xecuter X360USB Pro will still require some form of MRA rebuild on the Lite-On 83 v2 & 93 drives, most people are using the LT Switch v1.5 for this if you can solder and is a great product and better than doing a manual MRA rebuild with wires, also it would be possible to use the Xecuter LT Clip / LT Switch v2 which is a Solderless install for those drives. With saying that and seeing the announcement of the Lizard having a no cut or solder solution for these drives, we think Xecuter will be hard at work to provide the same solution for the Xecuter X360USB Pro and soon as any info on this is announced from the team we will update this page with info on their offering for a no cut no solder solution for the Xecuter X360USB Pro. As for the old Lite-On 74 drives we recommend people that don’t already have a CK3 Pro with a Probe to use the LT Switch v1.5 or LT Clip in conjunction with the Xecuter X360USB Pro & CK3 Pro or Lite, this is a slightly better way of going than using a Probe because you will get a full firmware dump where the laser calibration data can be extracted as well.
