If you are the owner of a DSi or DSiXL, please be advised that there is a new update for your console available (1.4.2). There is no reason at all to update, nor do you have to. All this update will do is block your card. For now, we do not claim compatibility for any of our cards, so if you own one, or plan to purchase soon, please be advised on this.
If you keep your DSi at its older firmware state, then you should be perfectly fine. You can only update by accessing the DSiWare store, or using the console’s built in System Update function. Please instruct your children to avoid using these functions as it will render their current card incompatible. Updates will likely be released sometime soon for many of our DSi cards, so as always, refuse updates until you can confirm that a fix is released.
