Developers that will be showing new games at E3 are all hard at work preparing what they'll be showing to the gaming world at the convention which is just days away. One of the most anticipated games of the show is Battlefield 3. And like the rest of the developers that are toiling over the perfect footage that captures what there game is all about in a bite-sized portion, DICE is also prepping their new footage for the show. What we've seen so far from Battlefield 3 has been campaign gameplay, from the single player portion of the game. Perhaps it was to show us that Battlefield 3 would have a campaign that could compete with Modern Warfare, or perhaps it was to unleash the Frostbite 2 Engine in all its glory. Either way, I know what I'm really wanting to see from Battlefield 3, and that's multiplayer. The franchise that is known for its award winning multiplayer, has not shown any gameplay from the its most popular mode. Well E3 is about to change that. According to numerous staff over at DICE, they are currently in the process of recording and editing multiplayer gameplay to show off for the first time. If I was a betting man, I would expect to see stuff exploding, planes, tanks, and guns.

Kotaku is claiming an insider source on the heavily-rumoured Rainbow Six remake, spilling details left, right and centre.Industry weathervanes have been blowing due Rainbow Six for some time now, but Kotaku‘s claiming firmer intel. According to the site’s sources, Rainbow Six is said to echo the franchise’s roots, eschewing the popular but unoriginal gameplay of follow up Rainbow Six: Vegas, with a focus on tactics and stealth over weaponry and squad use. A cover system, switching between first- and third-person perspective, will be introduced, and an icon-heavy display tracks team mates and other useful information, presumably objectives and interactive objects. The game’s plot will be a driving force in the game, with a far more ambitious storyline than in previous Rainbow Six titles. It’s said to focus foiling the plots of a US-based terrorist group, motivated by hatred of the financial sector, which has targeted New York. Ubisoft’s announced E3 lineup is missing several expected action announces – so tune in on June 6 for a number of surprises, hem hem.
