Also due out this week is a game not so shrouded in mystery, but rather a tale of an unlikely partnership from years ago. Kalypso Media's The First Templar has you playing between a French sword-wielding Templar and a noble lady with the powers of a Heretic as they try to find out what's happening within the Templar Order, while seeking out the legendary Holy Grail. Role-playing fans and action lovers may want to check this out. Everyone else, though, will probably stick by Noire. That's it for the retail releases for Xbox 360 during the week of May 15, 2011; see you next week on The Forecast!

Xbox 360 Releases for the Week of May 15, 2011
Welcome back to The Forecast, our weekly look at games that are coming our way in the days ahead. This week is definitely a scorcher, so let’s get to it! Leading the pack, obviously, is Rockstar Games’ highly anticipated L.A. Noire. Taking place in Los Angeles during the heydays of the 1940’s, the game follows and up and coming police officer as he works his way through the ranks in the LAPD, solving cases, investigating crime scenes and working with partners to find the truth. This includes shootouts, car chases, interrogations and checking clues to see if someone is lying or not. If this experience is anything close to what Red Dead Redemption did for Westerns last year, we’re in for an absolutely riveting game experience.
So much work has gone into L.A. Noire, it’s not even funny. Rockstar Games even went as far as creating a new motion-capture studio so every nuance and detail of people being investigated could be recreated, so you could find “tells” to see when someone was lying or showing a nervous twitch. Paying attention to small stuff like this is vitally important, as it could easily mark the difference between the innocent and the guilty. We’ll be reviewing this game later this week, and let you know if it’s an open-and-shut case, or whether it’s fully worth investigating, stay tuned.
