FLASH or DUMP your PS3, both NOR or NAND’s versions, and now even do downgrades and there is also possible new exploits being developed to handle the new breed of Jailbreak that is brewing along slowly for all the PS3 owners out there, and now finally the The Last Mile is ready, and we share with you today a picture of progskeet – nand and nor reader/writer the up-coming cute little crunching flash device that well be doing the final job for you:
Here is the latest update for progskeet problem for those of you who are using it. With this update the NOR has been entirely rewritten and the NAND is unmodified. The write to buffer programming method and erase sector have been optimized. There is also a fix for the fault in timeout of programming/erasing. It has been increased to 3.5 seconds per line and per sector. There is also an added wait on erase sector as well as improved flashing speed. Thus, if you are interested in When will progskeet be releasedand want to purchase one, make sure to visit their main site (see source). For all the improvements, view the changelog below.
Announced by the guys over at ProgSkeet, is a new USB flash device for the PS3. At the time of writing, it’s unclear as to what it’ll do for your PS3–downgrade, jailbreak, and/or fix bricks Progskeet uf6667…we hope! As you can see from the picture, there appears to be mini-USB connection, as well as another connection. We’ll keep you posted as this news develops.
Update: According to Progskeet uf6667, “the connector on the lower right on progskeet downgrade is for programming via jtag (injectus compatible) – used for collective feature wishes.”
The software deveploer has give some information about his project what will the progskeet do what he has said:
Alright let me give you some more details about it:
1MB/s sustained speed (vs. 50kB/s on infectus) – example : read 256 MB NAND in 1/20th time of infectus requires
can read/write NOR flash up to a VERY big capacity (that doesn’t even exist) – infectus can only write up to 256kB – teensy++ has no writing capability atm (iirc) – might be supported by the software, not sure if it can match its speed though
EVERY KIND OF NOR/NAND FLASH SUPPORTED – infectus doesn’t, teensy++ needs special firmwares for every single one !
you won’t even need ME to update the software, semi-skilled people just read datasheets and adapt the configuration file!
(regular nand/nor flashes included in PS3, 360, Wii, etc. are already in there, but say you’re using this for car tuning, you’re gonna need to adapt the config)
I know the hardware well but HAVE NOT DEVELOPED IT – I only made the software for it so if you have a problem with downgrade progskeet, you just get at me (don’t flood please, thanks!
