I really don’t hope that this if you updated your DSi and you’ve used an AceKard on it that when you transfer your stuff over to 3DS it may carry over the AceKard data and brick your 3DS.
Why doesn’t Nintendo release firmware details when the updates hit? Usually when you update, it’ll tell you what’s changed/fixed. We have to wait a few hours until we get an official word. Lame.
You’ll all be thrilled to know that, while we’re waiting for the 3DS to get online support, Nintendo has been hard at work … on DSi Firmware. DSi firmware 1.4.2 available [GoNintendo]
While every Nintendo 3DS owners are easily anticipating for the firmware that adds the 3DS Shop, the DSi gets the head start by receiving a new firmware.
The new DSi 1.4.2 firmware is now available via download on your Nintendo DSi. No word as to what new features are added in this firmware but a lot of people said that it mostly blocked flashcarts from working and it may prepare the handheld for the DSi game transfer soon.
I guess we can wait for Nintendo’s official announcement as to what the new firmware really adds to the handheld.
